*SUIT BROUGHT AGAINST THE HOUSE MEMBER REPRESENTING UKWA EAST & WEST OF ABIA STATE TOWARDS INEFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION OF THE CONSTITUENCY AND MISAPPROPRIATION OF FUNDS*

In suit no: *FHC/UM/CS/40/2022,* an Aba based legal professional in the person of EBERE UZOATU, ESQ.  took out a suit on behalf of Hon (Chief) Uche Sunday Aja and Hon. Osy Nwachukwu against the member representing Ukwa East/ Ukwa West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, BARRISTER NKEM ABONTA. 

Furthermore, the others joined in the said suit as defendants are the National Chairman of the PDP, Hon. (Dr) Asiforo Okere (Abia State PDP Chairman) and the ICPC praying the Honourable Court, among other things, that Barrister Nkem Abonta should not be presented by the PDP aparatchik and the powers that be as a candidate to recontest the position in the said Federal Constituency come 2023.

In addition to  an order of court compelling the ICPC to take steps to investigate and prosecute  Barrister Abonta for his monumental acts of corruption running into billions of Naira for the 16 years he has been in the Federal House of Representatives as a  member representing the Ukwa East/Ukwa West Federal Constituency, in which the plaintiffs are  members of the constituents. The Plaintiffs also prayed the Court to  compel the 1st Defendant to account for his 16 years stewardship while in service.
