It is my greatest pleasure to specially felicitate with the Chairman and Members of the Nigeria Bar Association, Asaba Branch on this auspicious occasion of their 2021 Law Week.
The theme of this year's Law Week is "Recalibrating the Nigerian Legal System for effective justice delivery."
The word recalibration entails doing something differently for a better result and part of the focus of the theme is to seek for better ways of justice delivery in Nigeria.
Lawyers, litigants and the Judex cannot pretend that the present state of justice delivery system do not require calibration.
Though Lawyers are affected but the litigant who seeks justice is worst hit by the present state of anomia of our justice system.
It is my earnest believe that our colleagues will take advantage of the period of the Law Week to seek for better ways in advancing the Nigerian justice delivery system.
I trust that this Law Week period will be used as the period of learning and exploring new ways that will advance the legal system in Nigeria and especially the Delta State justice delivery system effectively.
I am confident that the Speakers and Discussants at the Sessions will do great justice to the theme of the Law Week.
I therefore encourage our Colleagues to take advantage of the Law Week in advancing new frontiers in justice delivery.
I specially commend the Chairman, A. N Eseagwu, his great team of Excos and the Law Week Planning Committee for their noble commitment to the growth of the Law and the well being of the members of the Branch.
I wish all our colleagues at Asaba Branch a great time at the Law Week.
EWENODE O. WILLIAM ESQ.
Immediate Past NBA Asst. Secretary.
