The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Onitsha Branch, received with great honour and pride, though not surprise, but not unaware of the immense pressure, the cheering news of the exploit done today, Saturday, May 15, 2021, by selected Members of the Young Lawyers Forum of our Branch, by emerging the Champions of the Young Lawyers’ Forum Arbitration Challenge 2020.
The Premier Bar known as home of Laurels are happy that her young lads queued into this winning mentality by trashing Ikot-Ekpene branch of Akwa Ibom at the quarter final stage, humbled Ibadan Branch at the semi-finals, before pummeling Lagos Branch to lift the coveted trophy.
We therefore salute the courage of these three gladiators, Alumni of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Anambra State, namely, messrs Darlington Okafor Esq, Chinedu Okoro Esq., and Chukwudalu Daniel Morah Esq, for standing tall among their competitors.
Moreso, the Branch further praise Chinedu Okoro for his individual honour as the Best Oralist in the said competition. Above all, we appreciate the Chairman of the YLF of the Branch, Obinna Akpuchukwu Esq. and his Exco, for their commitment towards this project we are all proud of today.
As the Branch continue to congratulate this rare feat showcased by our young lads, permit us to mention the likes of Mazi D.I. Uba, Lady Amaka Uzuegbu, M.C Eze, Afam Obi, and Nnaemeka Egonu, for their financial contribution, to support, appreciate, and encourage this glorious team of ours, not just for a good job well done, but to motivate others into looking up to them.
Deservably, mention ought be made of Adaobinna C. Edozie, who was quite instrumental in ensuring that the team were provided with basic needs from the inception of the competition, and as well, Emeka Asiegbu, who covered additional cost of their flight when it mattered most.
Congratulations to Premier Bar, East of the Niger.
Onyechi Ononye, Esq.
Chairman,
