It is called the 'ABC campaign and voting formula' and it does gives little credence to merit and competence but sellability.
The formula simply stresses a cohort who are watching out for themselves for the sole reasoning of occupying power together as a team because they belong to the same faction or political party.
Some of the dangers of voting in line of a group, faction or political party are that when with time of ascending power it becomes glaring that these set are not what is positively hoped, they become unaccountable as a clique. They become Lords of the Manors who owe no one an explanation, looking out for themselves against the interests of the electorates. Sometimes, they become a gang, perhaps a fraternity bound by the sense of brotherhood.
Due to the dangers of eventual ineptitude in performance and empathy, voting decisions based on factionism has metted on Nigerians over the years, the elitist class has begun to advise electorates to shun block votes for a faction.
Rather go on fishing for the most deserving candidates based on what they offer with a Will and competence to deliver. Based on their unique individuality and how it translates to leadership of competence and maturity of character.
These deserving candidates could be in party A, B, C or even a one man squad who do his thing alone.
Say No to voting by political party or faction lines, but Yes to competence and a genuine Will to serve.
